How we arrived at Chance.

My wife and I were looking for a name appropriate to the male long haired dachshund we were in the process of adopting. I had mentioned to a co-worker that I liked the name "Lucky" and was quickly informed that it was so "Fifties" and that something more up to date was needed.

So, I went to Yahoo! Babel Fish and rendered an English to French translation. What I ended up with was the name "Chanceux" which we both liked and shortened to simply "Chance."
