I adopted a Siberian husky, at the time his name was Nanook. He didn't even know his name. He wouldn't respond to it, and I didn't like it either. So I knew I had to rename him. One day he and I were both in my kitchen and I said: "you kind of look like a skunk" His ears perked up. I said it again: "skunk?..." he ran over to me. "do you want your name to be Skunk?..." and he rubbed his head up and down on my leg. "Ok, from now on your name is Skunk." all the time I get "OMG your dog is gorgeous! what's his name?" "Skunk" they look at me funny... "hey, he chose it." then I tell them this story. |

My Dog's BackStory
Well, the story behind our dogs name is quite simple. the breeder nicknamed him Charlie, and when my family was still arguing about what to name the dog, someone brought up the original name, and it stuck. Why the breeder nicknamed him Charlie is because he was the only one in the litter with the color brown on him, hence the name Charlie Brown. |
