a second chance at life.
Well I adopted chance from a shelter actually the Baltimore city pound called b.a.r.c he was just under a year old and he is a pit bull but the moment I saw him I feel in love and knew he was the one so I signed the papers got his shots and home we went now I just had to figure a name so at first I kept saying boy are u lucky and thought that sounds good lucky but it just didn't fit for some reason then I thought about the story of how they found him when they rescued him and it hit me I'm giving him a second chance at life and I knew chance was it I started calling him chance and he seemed to respond to it so I knew he loved it too and he's the best dog I've ever had he's my bestfriend he's my buddy my baby and I absolutely adore him he's my cuddle buddy and he's such a good dog so nice and loving not a mean bone in his body he's so spoiled we've been together 4 yrs and counting and everyone in the neighborhood just loves him and the way I look at it he really did get a second chance at life. |

He was named by the shelter people I got him from . His full name is Oswald. I prefer to think of him as ozzy Osborne because when he jumps the fence he likes to pee on everything. Thank goodness I don't live near the Alamo. |

My father was against having a dog, and also he loves Zippo lighters, so when I came home with my little Brittany pup, he freaked out, but when I told him the pup's name everything changed. At first I just thought it would be funny but now that Zippo's bid and grown up the name sounds really cool. By the way, my father adores Zippo. They are like best friends. |

The first dog my husband and I got before we married, we rescued from a local shelter. A big misbehave black lab Rottweiler cross by the name of mickey. I fell in love with the ball loving rascal. When we came to pick him up we both knew the name had to go, he didnt even appear to listen to it. We were given a very short leash to walk him to our car with. As soon as the door was opened he literally towed me to our car. My husband and I looked at each other and said "Mater" . |

I miss my Hobart
This is what we named our first dog. He was a mix. He was black, with white paws, ans Brown eyebrows. He was so cute. I miss him so much! Sometimes we would call him Hobie Wan Kenobi because my family liked star wars. |
