Chance SECOND CHANCE

I adopted a dog from the shelter and I just felt that I was her second chance, so that is what I named her. Love her.

Taco [Insert Title Here]

I named my dog Taco because the day that I got him I had a taco for dinner and he was so small that he could have fit in the taco shell.

Fiona Princess Fiona

We are really excited about getting our new pug. So, we gave her a name even before she was born. Her birth mother's name is Quennie. My brothers want the name to be much like royalty also, like princess and the like. But, i decided that the name princess is too common. So i cam up with the name Fiona, from Princess Fiona of the movie Shrek.

Galahad Galahad's Quest

I had a beautiful cream colored Yellow Labrador. He was nearly all white, so he was named after the White Night in King Arthur's Court.

His pedigree name was Galahad's Quest and everyday was just that. If you didn't entertain him, he would entertain himself.

He was perfect; smart, beautiful, athletic, strong and full of personality. Everyone should have a dog like him in their lifetime. I miss him.

Autumn Autumn in the Keweenaw

My wife and I found Autumn on our county animal control web site. We went to see her in early November, 2009. Amid all the noise and chaos, this gorgeous beagle was curled in a ball facing the wall of her cage, quiet as could be.

When she noticed we we're there, she immediately sat up and came over to me, tail wagging with her big brown eyes melting my heart.

She was in bad health, but we fell in love with her and took her home. She's now a healthy, happy, Jeep riding, adventurous beagle.

Her full name is Autumn in the Keweenaw named after my favorite place in the world.

Tinker & Belle Peter Pan meets Beauty & the Beast

Love all things Disney. When we couldn't decide between Wendy & Peter or Beauty and Beast, we came up with this.

Olive Oyl Olive Oyl the Schooner Hound

Olive Oyl was a Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue we adopted at 12 weeks old. She had gangly legs and could barely walk. Trying to think of a nautical type name, plus the gangly legs made me think of Olive Oyl from Popeye. At 4 yrs. old now, she is now faster than deer and bunny rabbits; and after living aboard our Schooner while cruising for a few years, she is often referred to as Olive Oyl the Schooner Hound.
