Korrie our special gift
Korrie was the last gift my Dad gave me before he died. My Dad was Dutch so I chose a Dutch name from a young lady I admired, after reading her book, who survived during the Second World War Corrie ten Boon. Our dog Korrie was a gorgeous black Smithfield - a resuce pup from the RSPCA. She was a long haired working dog so perfect for on our farm and incredibly intelligent. She was an off-lead dog and never once strayed even when bush walking and climbing mountains. We shared many special experiences over the 16 years together. What a wonderful gift and memory to treasure. |

He is a Jack Russell mix, and he has the small dog syndrome. Lil' Snot wants desperately to be top dog, but he isn't. Lil' Snot is the playground bully. The name he was given at the animal shelter was "Sparky", but the only words ever out of my mouth while I was fostering him were "you lil' snot". He then thought his name was Lil' Snot. He does a great job of living up to his name, and I love him dearly!! |

I actually didn't pick his name, it was the name the spca gave him when he was brought in as a stray. My sister in law works there and thought that he would be perfect for me but my otger dog had recently passed away. As soon as she heard that I was thinking about getting another dog she called me, texted me and emailed all his info. I wasn't convinced at first... When I realized that I had already decided what to knickname him, I knew I had to have him! He has lots of knicknames now, merr, merr bear, and sometimes mary. Yes we know he's a boy ;) |

RECRUIT THE SEARCH FOR PERFECTION
MY HUSBAND IS A FORMER MARINE AND IS CURRENTLY A POLICE OFFICER AND WAS CALLED RECRUIT IN THE BEGINNING STAGES OF BOTH THE MARINES AND INITIAL POLICE TRAINING. WE DECIDED OUR NEXT DOG WAS GOING TO BE A LABRADOR RETRIEVER AND WENT OUT ON A SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT BREEDER. WE JOKINGLY LAUGHED ABOUT HOW MUCH OF AN EFFORT WE PUT INTO FINDING THIS DOG AND THOUGHT RECRUIT WAS THE PERFECT NAME FOR OUR PUPPY. IT WINDS UP THAT WE HAVE THE MOST PERFECT DOG IN THE WORLD AND WE SHOULD HAVE NAMED HIM PERFECTION!!!!!!! |
